Where the Sun Shines

Since 2003 I have worked with Canada World Youth and Change for Children in many places throughout Africa and Latin America. This website has served as a medium to share my experiences, to tell my stories from "the field". This year (2010) I will be returning to Mozambique to work as a project supervisor again with Canada World Youth.

Merry Christmas

I am now in Namibia, after a long run of stressful events with my participants! In any case, I am NOW enjoying the beautiful scenic city of Swakopmund. Its located in the Namib Desert, right on the Atlatic Ocean. It has the most beautiful beaches and Sand Dunes to either side of the city.

Vadim arrived close to 2 weeks ago, and has been getting used to his surroundings, as have I. Today we are off on a journey to the North, to visit the famous Etosha National Park- where we have been told we shall see all sorts of wildlife- giraffes, lions, rhinos, and elephants! We bought a tent and are planning to rent a car when we get to Tseumb and then we wil grab a map and attempt to do our own tour, as organized tours are far beyond our budget! The tourists here are far to rich! So, here is hoping all goes well and I have lots of fun stories to tell when I return.

Thanks for your patience with my writing updates, I really do plan to keep you all more up to date as to what is happening over here in Beautiful Africa!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!
Vadim & I wish all the best for you all in 2006.
